Shorty be Tall

I was OBSESSED with this song when I was younger. When I was about 10 I began my mooning period (which made a reappearance earlier this year…I refuse to grow up) and, in my strange little 10 year old baltimoron brain, I managed to put this song and my bright white ass together for something my family will never let me forget.

I spent weekends at my Aunt and Uncle’s house along with all my other cousins (we’re all really tight) and they lived in a house right on the water. None of the houses had fences in the backyards so you could easily walk from one house to another. At some point these obnoxious little boys moved in about three houses down from my Aunt and Uncle. They would taunt and yell at my cousins and I from their yard whenever we went outside and it really put a cramp in our paddle boating and football games. One afternoon they were SUPER obnoxious (jumping into the water right by us trying to splash, yelling etc) so I decided to moon them. I pulled down my neon pink shorts and, for some amazing reason, started singing manfred mann’s earth band’s blinded by the light changing the lyrics from “blinded by the light” to “blinded by the white.”
